No fly zone can't wait: Bandt
Greens MP Adam Bandt said today he hoped a no-fly zone in Libya would not be pushed off the international agenda.
He said the dithering of the UN Security Council was a worrying sign.
"The people of Libya need help now", Adam Bandt said.
"The Libyan rebels are calling for it, the Arab League supports it and the international community needs to get on with it."
"A no-fly zone would enable the Libyan people to have a fighting chance of ending the Gaddafi dictatorship."
"There is a window of opportunity for freedom in Libya and throughout the Middle East we need to grasp it with two hands."
"The recent media ruckus over the Foreign Minister's and the Prime Minister's positions on a no-fly zone should not be allowed to derail the government's advocacy for the no-fly zone."
