Multiculturalism must be defended - Greens National Council

The Federal Member for Melbourne Greens MP Adam Bandt joined Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, Greens Deputy Leader Senator Christine Milne and Senator Rachel Siewert today to announce a Greens National Council resolution backing multiculturalism.

The Greens National Council a key decision making body of the Australian Greens party is meeting in Melbourne this weekend.

The resolution reaffirms the Australian Greens support for multiculturalism and a non-discriminatory immigration policy and rejects the Coalition's use of multiculturalism as a political football.
